Festival of Brass 2020

Sunday 2nd February

The competition will be held at East Durham College, Peterlee Starting at 10.00am with Section B where we have 3 bands competing. Section A will commence at 12 noon. There are 6 competing bands Following on from Section A will be our Youth Section where we have 2 competing bands. Adjudicator for the day is Mike Kilroy

Solo's. Duet's & Quartets

Solos, Duets and Quartets competition starts at 10.30am on Sunday 7th October at Blackhall Community Centre, Hesleden Road, Hartlepool TS27 4LQ. Please come along and support over 40 performances over the 9 classes on the day; from young bandsmen/women and also the young at heart! Lunches are available to purchase at the community centre and these are at a reasonable price... Helpers are needed on the day. Annual General Meeting 2019


The Association will hold it's AGM on Saturday 21st September 2019 in County Hall, Durham.. Starting at 10.30am.

Picnic in the Park 2019


The popular Durham County Brass Band Association 'Picnic in the Park' Entertainment Contest sponsored by the Geneva Group took place in the grounds of Houghall College in Durham on the weekend. Thirteen bands across three sections competed for a their share of a generous prize fund of over £1,100, with GT Group Peterlee taking the Section A honours, Spennymoor Town winning Section B, and Houghton Area Youth claiming the Youth Section title.
